Our Berkley Public Entity Premier Retained Limits Liability Policies were designed specifically with the needs of public entities in mind.  Designed to provide coverage in excess of a self-insured retention, separate Public Entity and Scholastic Entity forms are available to address the unique risk characteristics of each type of insured.  Our policy forms and suite of endorsements were created with flexibility in mind enabling our team to tailor coverage to a client’s specific needs.  Coverage is provided in one base policy form with Crisis Management Expense Coverage included.  

Our Berkley Public Entity Premier Excess Follow Form Policy provides excess capacity directly over underlying carriers.  The policy form follows the coverage triggers of the underlying followed policy, whether the trigger is occurrence or claims-made.  Defense costs mirror the followed policy and the aggregates will apply in the same manner as the underlying.

Available for use when Berkley Public Entity reinsures a pool or group entity. We have the ability to tailor coverage to follow the memorandum of coverage issued by the pool to their members. Berkley Public Entity also has the ability to sign onto broker reinsurance agreements when necessary.
